Meet Caitlin Nielsen AMFT, LMT

I believe life and relationships are full of challenging, yet rewarding transitions. These transitions provide us with valuable opportunities to understand ourselves more deeply, and to strengthen our relationships. By recognizing our patterns of behavior and understanding why we have them, we are then able to decide if, and how, we want to change those patterns. I strive to help individuals, couples, and families, reach this place of understanding by drawing on their strengths and fostering compassion.

As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, as well as a Licensed Massage Therapist, I also believe reconnecting our minds and bodies allows for a richer understanding of ourselves. I work to help build this connection for my clients, in order to provide a proactive foundation for managing life’s transitions.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process and am I honored to be a part of my clients’ journeys. My areas of interest include couples issues, premarital work, women’s issues, and the transition to parenthood. I practice under direct supervision from Josh Hetherington and I received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Family Institute at Northwestern University.

Caitlin currently sees clients at our 5100 N. Ravenswood Location. She can be contacted at (216) 302-8748
